ABSTRACT

The purpose of the study was to offer data that could be helpful for classification of research areas and to suggest a direction of researches in the future based on the analysis on trends of studies on cultural diversity in the dance education field. Therefore, the study collected data after selecting ‘Research in Dance Education’, ‘Journal of Dance Education’ as the objects of the analysis. The results of the study were as follows. First, the flow of cultural policies and changes of cultural ecosystem that had a target of cultural diversity should be accompanied with active involvement and a sensitive approach in the dance education. Second, cultural diversity required an approach expanded from education of cultural diversity leaned towards multi-cultural dance education in the practical aspect. Third, it was required to have an initiative of researches on dance studies diffusing dynamic culture mixing of mutual interaction and a viewpoint of interculturalism from an interdisciplinary perspective such as culture, education, management and policies.
