ABSTRACT

For Deleuze, cinema shows time-images. The originary time of this time-image is constructed from the encounter between chaos and depth, which makes the first ratio from the non-ratio relation. The time constructed in this way becomes the time of the empty form as the first dimension branching from singular point to left and right, past and future, that is, the time of pure event as the virtual. For Deleuze, the plane is a two-dimensional plane formed by the intersection of this singular point and the line, and it becomes the plane of immanence (philosophy) or the plane of composition (art) made of light in its own optical-acoustic situation. Deleuze’s classical cinema represents the time of the virtual event that really exists on the surface or the back of this plane as an indirect time-image, while modern cinema presents it and shows it as a direct time-image. This paper deals with the crystal of time and the state of that crystal, which is formed between this chaos-depth and the singular point. This is because the crystal of time makes the time of the originary event in the movement of the living present of this depth and its chaotic environment.
