ABSTRACT

With the deepening of the experience economy and the ubiquity of digital technologies, immersive theater has emerged as a core paradigm for innovation in the integration of culture and tourism. Taking Unique Dream of Red Chamber as the research object, this study constructs a tri-dimensional analytical framework of "Space-Technology-Culture" to systematically explore the inherent mechanisms and optimization paths of collaborative innovation. The findings indicate that: in the spatial dimension, the project achieves a functional leap toward narrative fields through "physical replication, symbolic translation, and situational activation"; in the technical dimension, it facilitates experience co-creation relying on "perceptual reinforcement, situational immersion, and interactive generation"; and in the cultural dimension, it realizes the contemporary translation of a classic IP via "core deconstruction, scene reconstruction, and asset accumulation." Addressing structural constraints identified in practice—such as spectacular consumption, technical operational pressures, and tensions in cultural depth—this research proposes adaptive mechanisms including spatial zoning management, modular technical operation, and the delineation of cultural authenticity boundaries. The study demonstrates that high-quality and sustainable development of culture-tourism integration can only be achieved by establishing a dynamic rebalancing mechanism among space, technology, and culture.
