AB - is a Gasa which has 440 long lines, and it is in the Korean Gasa Museum. The time of it’s creation is 1924, and it’s creation place is Daegu prison. The purpose of this paper is to presume the writer of the , to investigate the world of work, and to clarify the significance on Gasa history.
The writer of is an independent activist from the famous family. The incident described in the was an incident of ‘UiYongDan’ to support for the independence movement in Daegu at 1922. The writer is presumed to be one of the 42 people arrested and handed over to the trial.
The world of is centered on the writer's prison life and lyricism. has a very systematic narrative structure that is written in temporal order. The writer described in chronological order such as birth and growth, the arrival of Modern civilization, ‘uibyeong’ activity, ‘eulsajoyak’ and ‘gyeongsulgukchi’, life as an independent activist, arrest, imprisonment, prison sight, and prison life and lyricism from the first winter to the 2 years after spring.
has the following significances on Gasa history. It is the Gasa which shows excellent expression ability by using various styles. It functions as a documentary that testify to the resistance activities and Japanese repression during the Japanese colonial period. It is a Gasa which contains the life of prison with written by Sin Tae-sik. It is an important work that made it possible to continue the great trend of responding to history and society in the 1920s.
