During Spring and Autumn Period, even though the religion still received the respect, the social rationality had a very big development. As the representative of social value, the official historian must simultaneously undertake the religious tradition and the realistic rational spirit. "Annals of Zuo" has two different narrative methods: The symbolism narrative and the rationale narrative. The symbolism narrative and the rationale narrative. The symbolism narrative mainly includes the mutation event and the divinity behavior. The mutation event and the divinity behavior may be regarded as a kind of representationof the gods will, thus hide the fortune and misfortune of the world. Therefore such narrative methods also prove the existence of religion, and seek the basis for the moral rationality. On the other hand, the offical historian believed that, any event may be attributed to somebodys earlier motive or character reason, and these motives and characters should be responsible for the event. According to this logic, the future event or the life destiny also may be extrapolated from the small event. Therefore, "Annals of Zuo" has very many records of the prediction. Regardless of symbolism narrative or the rationale narrative, both of them are the methods of reality demonstration and the access to the voice authority by the official historian of Spring and Autumn Period.

According to Ennin's Diary, Chang Pogo(張保皐) had played an active part in overseas trade and founded a Buddhist cloister, which is called Fahuayuan(法華院) in DengZhou(登州) about 828. On the basis of the Buddist monasteries in Tang(唐) China, I tried to examine the practical roles of the Fahuayuan with overseas trade. The Fahuayuan had many unofficial names, the cloister was clearly not approved from the Tang regime, On the other hand, it was located near sea and very useful to the official trade and diplomacy between the Silla(新羅) and the Tang regime. Because of that, the existence of the cloister could be gotten tacit approval from the Tang regime, and Chang Pogo used it as a strong business foothold in china. The Fahuayuan had performed severla practical roles for Chang Pogo's overseas trade. It was a good hotel for foreign traders and diplomatic officials, and had a role administrative affairs for foreign trader and monk to entry into China. Moreover, this cloister had many estates itself, and could provide trading ships with food. Accordingly, the managementof the cloister got be achieved by common persons. I think the Fahuayuan was a energetic cloister while Chang Pogo had active overseas trade. However, the cloister was abolished in accordance with the HuiChang(會昌) Persecution in 844. This means that it was not seceded from the authority of the Tang regime.

Demise of the bipolar system and intensifying competition for ceonomic developmentj between nations following the end of Cold-War period pose new opportunities and threats to various nations. The emergence of China and ASEAN as important Asian developing countries has attracted attention both of academics and public opinion. China, which already has grown to the world's 6th largest economy, is consistently expanding its influence on international arena, while ASEAN, regarded as a successful regional cooperative model in the third world, is increasing its role in international relations of East Asia and Asia-pacific region. Moreover, the bilaterla relationship between China and ASEAN, which developed rapidly since the post-Cold War era, is showing salient development in realms such as international politics, economics, and security. This article proposes that increasing commitment of China and ASEAN to enhance mutual relationship during the post-Cold War period has been spurred by mutual needs to fulfill their respective foreign strategic objective. Consequently, this article explores the mutual strategy and policy toward each other between China and ASEAN, and the current status of bilateral relationship which are becoming increasingly intimate. Though the process, the article exploresthe implication of the development of Sino-ASEAN relations on respective regions as well as its influence on regional intermational relations.
