AB - 周作人的婦女觀, 自然人性觀和文學觀都是與英國性心理學者藹理斯的思想有關. 周作人根據他的性心理學, 回復女性的地位, 爲了跟男性同等地互相交流, 主張敎育女性, 造成各個人類坦白地表現自己的思感, 誠實地了解他人的思感的社會. 周作人覺得封建道德危害了男女兩方的自然人性, 靈肉的自然人性是很當然的人的本性, 所以不要迫壓反而承認, 讓情欲發瀉形成文學的世界. 但文學世界的性格是跟現實社會不一樣, 連庸俗的話也可以自由表現. 這樣的世界讓人類的生活很豐富很美地活着, 這就是生活之藝術. 生活之藝術是從在于微妙地混和取與舍二者出來的, 中國古來的中庸就是. 周作人覺得人和人之間最重要是談話, 所以他希望在自由的無限的文學世界里, 可以建設一個理想的公共社會.
