AB - The purpose of this research is to examine the structure of hyperlink networks among South Korean websites. Methodologically, this paper created a site-by-site connectivity matrix based on the existence of hyperlinks in a Web page titled affiliated programs. The results indicate that financial websites, such as credit card and stock websites, occupy the most central position in the network. A cluster analysis reveals that the structure of the hyperlink-affiliation network is influenced by the financial websites with which others are affiliated. The author discusses these findings from the perspective of website credibility and further, proposes a future study to test a causality between perceived credibility and hyperlinking behavior.
