AB - In the last few decades, information communication technologies(ICT) have deeply affected the way that business is performed and that organizations compete. Tourism intermediaries are no exception. Traditionally electronic tourism intermediaries were supported by computerized reservation systems, global distribution systems, teletext etc.. But ICT replaced existing ePlatforms of electronic tourism intermediaries as new ePlatforms, i.e., Internet, mobile devices.
Recently the growth of tourism industry's electronic commerce has dramatically increased. But a lot of tourism electronic stores are built in a very ad hoc manner and suffer from usability and maintenance problems. These problems are occurred by the fact that users' requirements are not sufficiently accepted in the development process. Scenario method enhances the expressive capability of modeling and promotes work-oriented communication among stakeholders. To solve usability and maintenance problems, we used scenario method for defining user's requirements. There are various user groups in Web sites, but main user groups are customers and Web managers. The requirements of these two user groups should be sufficiently accepted in the development process of Web-based information systems. So we identified events by the two viewpoints of customers and Web managers. Thereafter we modeled system processes by SAC(scenario activity chart). Correctness of SACs was examined by system architectures(function architecture and page architecture). Finally process operating procedures were conceptually designed through workflow.
