ABSTRACT

This paper explores the policy priorities to spur e-government policy corresponding to the era of green growth. The methodology used in this paper is Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) rankings, which is a methodology effective in obtaining domain knowledge from numerous experts and representing knowledge-guided indexing. The knowledge about the extent to which the ranking of the policy alternatives is sensitive to the nature of the pairwise judgments should be valuable implication into the green IT policy and priorities are crucial factors for future green IT policy direction. The analysis using AHP showed that policy priorities important for the era of green growth include the formulation of green e-government policy and green IT master plan and study on the current status of green IT. Furthermore, it found out that the budget for supporting the green IT taskforce and its activities should be secured. Strategies to enhance the national informatization through green IT have to be sought, considering the basis and context of the Lee Myung-bak government's national governance, reflecting on existing IT projects and in the aspects of utility and efficiency.
