AB - The purpose of this paper is to identify the problems of the education of semantic relation which the 2007 revised Korean curriculum and 2011 revised Korean curriculum have, and to look for the solution. The existing curriculum had tried to meet its two targets which are increase of both quantitative lexical competence and communicative competence, but it failed to reach goal due to Korean textbook. Semantically related words are able to co-occur in a particular grammatical construction. So it is highly efficient to propose related words in a particular construction and make frequent use of them in order to increase quantitative lexical competence. Alternating related words with each other is acceptable, and it has different results. So it is necessary to let learners know alternating related words with each other.
