AB - The purpose of this study is to clarify the meaning expansion process of ‘Mankeum’ used as particles and bound nouns, and to propose teaching methods. ‘Mankeum’ has 4 meanings; ‘degree,’ ‘proportionality,’ ‘proportional and reason,’ and ‘reason.’ The meaning expansion process of ‘Mankeum’ was clarified through prototype theory and semantic extension principle. The meanings of the prototypes were ‘degree’ and the meaning is expanded in order of ‘proportional’, ‘proportional and reason’, and ‘reason’.
