ABSTRACT

The purpose on the study is to grasp the current situation of low fertility rate and super aged society in Japan and to draw strategies corresponding to the current situation in comparison with Korea. According to the analysis, the aging rate in Korea is 13.0% and 26.6% in Japan in 2015, and Japan's aging rate is 13.6% higher than Korea's aging rate. Japan's aging rate of 26.6% is an aging rate that can be reached in Korea in 2033, according to the Korean population estimates. As for the decrease in total population, Japan started to decrease from 2008, and Korea declined from 2030. There is a 22-year gap in the total population reduction. What measures will Korea overcome the problems of low fertility and aging society in 22 years? And how to maintain the sustainability of the social security system? In this study, 10 strategies for responding to this question were presented. In conclusion, Korea should be able to overcome low fertility and aging and sustain the sustainability of the social security system. In order to do so, it was concluded that the state, local governments and enterprises should cooperate.
