ABSTRACT

The purpose of this paper was to present the strategy of public relation based on storytelling by analyzing Goh, Jae-hyung's Trip to Simdo. The primary attraction of rural tourism of local culture in Kang-wha area is the experience and understanding of local culture, so the paper focused on cultural and historic experiences in the advertising strategy to stimulate tour need. Trip to Simdo is a typical travel literature including Kang-wha‘s tradition and information. Therefore, the paper tried to analyze Trip to Simdo as four forms of categories, loyalty, chastity, knowledge, and uprightness. It also investigated tradition and culture resources of Kang-wha area through Trip to Simdo. Because Trip to Simdo, the text of the paper, has received high reputation as the source of local culture in Kang-wha area. To attract tourists' attention, the paper presented a storytelling model based on Trip to Simdo, while at the same time analyzing detailed categories. In conclusion, it is needed to be developed various events and storytelling about loyalty-chastityknowledge- uprightness to attract continuous travelers' attention.
