ABSTRACT

Currently, in South Korea, medical schools for Korean traditional medicine (KTM) teach not only Korean traditional medicine theories but also the principles of modern Western medicine. However, these two medical systems differ fundamentally in their perspectives, which leads to significant differences in understanding human physiology, pathology, the onset of diseases, diagnosis, and treatment. As a result, students in traditional Korean medicine schools often experience considerable confusion during their studies due to these differences in perspective.
