AB - 《说文解字》是一部伟大的文字学著作，在历史上的影响力很大。虽然甲骨文被发现以来，受到的批评也不少，可还是得到世人的高度重视。如果我们没有它，很多古文字资料的研究就会遇到许多阻碍。本文的写作目的在于指出《说文解字》的局限性，纠正其说解的一些错误，以便于能够更好地利用它。
本文先把《说文解字》第三篇上當中的十七個小篆（包括63个重文）对照甲骨文字的字形和本义，然后找出需要纠正的十七個字，最后通过考察，归纳为如下四个项目。
因字形演变发生的错误 : 舌 ․ 千 ․ 言 ․ 童 ․僕 ․
以後起字为本字的错误 : 干 ․ 十 ․ 屰 ․ 音 ․ 妾 ․ 丞 ․ 異 ․ 興
利用声训法的错误 : 競 ․ 共
利用互訓法的錯誤 : 䢅
