AB - “Wuhan stories”,which describes the local conditions and customs in Wuhan has become a new important part of contemporary stories of Chinese metropolisesm. Both Fang Fang and Chi Li are good at creating “Wuhan stories”. They have depicted the complex characters of Wuhan people, showing how they live a life full of astuteness, rudeness, humor,fortitude and flexibility. Meanwhile, they are also fond of telling stories in vivid Wuhan dialect sometimes, which fully expresses the taste of Wuhan people’s daily life in slippery, witty and exaggerate style. And this is also a new discovery in Chinese literature written in various dialect.
