AB - 本文是对中国人的姓氏和名字进行研究的，也是对中国人的姓和氏进行全面考察的。中國人非常重視起名字。中國人的姓氏和名字意味着中國人的文化意識和時代特徵。上古时代，姓氏反映的是母系社会，但在往父系社会过度时渐渐出现了各种各样的姓氏。本文打算首先考察中國姓氏學的專門著書, 各時代的起名或者命名的特點, 中国姓氏的各类型的由来，而且對少數民族的姓氏和名字進行硏究。
