ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study was to find out what components measure the educational satisfaction of students at university and to confirm their validity. A literature research was done, Delphi surveys by experts were conducted three times and, subsequently, measurement items by item development experts were created to explore measurement factors. To make sure of the validity of the questions, two preliminary surveys were conducted. The first preliminary survey was conducted with 251 university students in Chungnam Province, and exploratory factor analysis was performed to measurement items. The second preliminary survey was carried out with 338 university students in Chungnam Province, and confirmatory factor analysis was conducted to verify the suitability of the measurement items extracted from the first preliminary survey. As a result of the study, 13 items relating to Curriculum Area, 10 items to Educational Outcomes, 11 items to Quality of Teaching, 9 items to Educational Facilities and The Environment, and 13 items to The Support System Area of The University were selected. The questionnaire consisted of 56 questions in 5 areas. To establish content validity, CVR(Contents Validity Ratio) and I-CVI(Item Level Content Validity Index) tests were carried out, which confirmed the reference value. Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin(KMO) test was used to establish construct validity. For the exploratory factor analysis, factor loadings were checked, and for the confirmatory analysis the absolute goodness of fit indices considered were GFI, RMSEA, Incremental Goodness of Fit, CFI, NFI, and TLI. As for criterion validity, the correlation-coefficient was measured.
