AB - This study with the prediction that elders’ participation in exercise programs and the degrees of the intensity of their participation therein will result in different types of successful aging, this study takes as adjusting variables, the mediating factors, their interpersonal abilities and establishes the following hypotheses. As a result of this study are as follows. First, it has proved that elders’participation in exercise programs have great effects on their interpersonal abilities and successful aging. Especially, since elders’ participation in exercise programs makes them perceive their subjective health status as high, we can tell that they can actually maintain a good health status. Second, the higher the intensity of an elderly person’s participation in exercise programs, the better his or her interpersonal ability as well as his or her successful aging. Third, interpersonal ability, appears to play a mediating role between their participation in exercise programs and their successful aging. From this, we can tell that elderly people’s intense participation in exercise programs not only prevents lack of physical activities and weakening of health and fitness, but also has positive effects on their foundation of networks in terms of interpersonal interactions and their successful aging. Accordingly, in order for elders to make their lives ruined with Various problems, they should actively engage in exercise programs to increase their interpersonal abilities and promote successful aging. In addition, it’s programs for increasing elders’ interpersonal abilities in tandem with elderly exercise programs.
