AB - In this article, the standard plan for local cultural education for Korean language learners was presented through the Chuncheon Dakgalbi Makguksu Festival, a local festival and local cultural content. Since local festivals are held continuously with regional representation and uniqueness, they are also highly linked to Korean language education for foreign learners. In addition, cultural education through local festivals is friendly to foreign learners and has the effectiveness of being a member of the community. If cultural education is conducted using local cultural contents like this, regional understanding will increase based on effective Korean learning by foreign learners and foster a sense of belonging to the local community. Considering the demand for Korean language learning and the influx of Korean language learners from the perspective of Korean language professors, it is necessary to discuss and study ways to educate Korean culture using local cultural contents away from the Seoul metropolitan area. Therefore, it is hoped that this study will provide various ways to educate Korean language culture using local cultural contents suitablefor thelocalenvironment.
