ABSTRACT

Among the data related to the June 10th Independence Movement, the first task to find important police, prosecutors, and courts data is to extract and organize the people who participated in the June 10th Independence Movement. Then, it is easy to check the existence of data for each person. One thing to note when using police, prosecutors, and courts data is that these data contain the basic ideological control attitude and hostile gaze of the Japanese police and prosecutors, and there are many mistranslations and errors, and there are cases where the content is inconsistent between the investigation subjects. In many cases, those interrogated also testified falsely in order to conceal the actual activities. In this situation, careful cross-criticism of historical materials should be carried out in parallel with these ‘cracks’. By comprehensively analyzing historical materials such as police, prosecutors, courts data, newspaper articles, school registers, etc., in future research on the June 10th Independence Movement, socialist groups such as the Chosun Communist Party and the Goryeo Communist Youth Association, the Byeongin Volunteer Corps which fought a heroic struggle, nationalist groups such as Cheondogyo, and students, it is hoped that the fact that the June 10th Independence Movement was promoted in broad solidarity by them will be identified in detail.
