ABSTRACT

‘Hyo' is not only simply respecting parents but the foundation to build up human relations in all the society based on the intimacy between parents and children. Such the embodiment of ‘Hyo’ is achieved not by realizing simple knowledge or by disseminating the knowledge but it is habituation and activation through the passing down the moral life and relational model and it comes out as character and personality through them. Therefore it is necessary to take roots the harmonious ‘Hyo’ culture establishing family ethics as mutual personal relations, not subordinate relationship between parents and children treating with authoritarian way from young children or next generation in asserting traditional value. Therefore I suggest the parents coaching approaching to be able to accept each other between parents and children and also as a model of education method for children regarding on the respect and care of other people and life beyond the concept of ‘Hyo’ to respect parents through good value model of parents. Parents coaching helps parents to believe the potential and possibility of their child and to make the most out of his/her ability. Coaching is not simple technique or communication method. Coaching is the view and attitude towards human being. It is that the philosophy of coaching, basic family explains well. The important skills of the parents coaching to be able to practice the basic family of such the coaching, can be summarized as follows; first, active listening skill, second, proper questioning skill, third, recognition and encouragement skill. Therefore contrary to the existing concept for knowledge deliver on education of ‘Hyo’, parents coaching suggests parents model for expansive relationship, deriving willing value of children on ‘Hyo’ through the exemplary behavior of parents to their children,.
