AB - The purpose of the study is to find HYO cultural properties in the modern funeral culture toward the procedures in traditional Confucian funeral rites and The procedures in modern funeral. First, We are Korea's Confucian culture looks at funeral rites. Second, We examined the characteristics of HYO come out in the course of that. Third, We reveal modern Korea's funeral procedure is simple and HOY nature has changed.
Comprehensively, funeral culture of modern society is simple. For that reason the HYO practice areas was reduced and that was further commercialization.
According to the results of the study, HYO cultural of modern funeral is 1) simplified spatially and time, 2) Emphasis on a visit to the ‘HYO'practice, 3) To emphasize that the physical conditions HYO. Also, it is necessary in the society of rationalization and materialism, that ‘Professional is more important than the individual', ‘Model of community leaders is important'.
