ABSTRACT

<Alt Heidelberg> is the 2nd regular performance of Towolhoe, and was performed at the Choseon Theater from September 22 to 24, 1923. This play commonly known as the movie <The Student Prince> to the general public, has a narrative structure in which the Crown Prince realizes the value of freedom and love while studying in Heidelberg. Towolhoe made the palace atmosphere in Act 1 stuffy and rigid in order to realize the prince's awakening on the stage, and this intention is fully revealed in the stage photos that are being delivered. Later, this play was re-enacted by Yeon Haknyeon, a participant in the second performance of the Towol Festival, as a performance by the Chuangangmudae theater company. f the remaining stage photos are referred to at this time, it can be confirmed that the second act, which is contrasted with the first act, emphasizes the vitality and freedom of the dormitory in Heidelberg. The two plays tried to show the direction and desire of this work through the second act, which is contrasted with the first act. Through this work, Towolhoe and Chungangmudae have expressed their common expression intention to present a model of a modern drama with completeness while gaining popularity with the public.
