AB - Has the lifespan of superhero content really ended? Have the audience really started to get tired of superhero content? This article is a thesis that started from a critical consideration of these timely questions. This article re-examines the value of superhero content that reproduces and reflects reality, and analyzes the cause of the box office trend, which is somewhat shrinking at the present time.
Superhero content has always been about the 'ideal appearance of human beings'. And it reflects both the history of Super Hero Comics over the past 80 years and the history of Super Hero movies over the past 40 years. And this thesis will present that this reflection and representation of Super Hero content has been made immediately and in-depth whenever the socio-cultural consensus on the 'ideal human image' changes according to the changes of the times. Through this thesis, I would like to first explore the essential characteristics of Super Hero content that has satisfied movie audiences around the world for nearly 80 years, and then discuss the limitations of the times when Super Hero content is slowing down today.
