AB - The purpose of this study is to find out the network structure of social service agencies in Busan. The study examined the relationship between network characteristics and service quality. The survey questionnaires from 79 social service agencies among 115 were collected from November 1, 2011 to March, 1 2012. The result shows/reveals that each agency has 46 links in average. Social welfare foundations are positioned at the center of the network. For the relationship between network characteristics and service quality, the higher the degree of degree centrality and closeness centrality, the higher the service quality of agencies. Also, this study finds that the factors regarding the directors of the agencies are associated with service quality. Finally, we discuss the methods of developing the network of social service agencies in order to improve the service quality.
