ABSTRACT

This study is a research study aimed at finding out the structure of the intention to change jobs of social workers working in social welfare-related facilities and devising a plan to improve the professionalism of social workers and reduce the intention to change jobs based on this. To fulfill the purpose of this study, 572 questionnaires were collected from social workers working in social welfare-related facilities in 11 cities (counties) in northern Gyeonggi Province. The analysis method used SPSS 25.0 and AMOS 25.0 programs to investigate the relationship between turnover intention, job satisfaction, and resilience by utilizing exploratory factor analysis, correlation analysis, and structural equation modeling. The analysis results showed that resilience and job satisfaction had a significant relationship with turnover intention. In particular, resilience showed a positive correlation with job satisfaction, and both intrinsic job satisfaction and extrinsic job satisfaction contributed to lowering turnover intention. In addition, the higher the resilience, the lower the turnover intention tended to be. In follow-up research, it is necessary to develop programs that can improve social workers' job satisfaction and study ways to reduce their intention to change jobs.
