ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to propose a user experience that can guide users to safely return shared electric mobility devices in the correct location by improving the return process. As the use of shared electric mobility devices continues to increase, indiscriminate returns are causing inconvenience to citizens and wasting tax money. Currently, most shared electric mobility services apply similar user interfaces and experience designs. The research method involved analyzing the problems of existing screens through surveys of 72 users and in-depth interviews with 8 users to explore alternatives. As a result of the survey, it was found that shared electric mobility services have environmental characteristics of being outdoors, sequential characteristics of being in the middle of movement, and shared characteristics of sharing devices with others. Based on this, we identified areas that need improvement for each characteristic and suggested directions for improvement. This study anticipates that improving user experience and making clear that proper return behavior has a positive impact on others and society will reduce safety issues caused by unauthorized parking of shared electric vehicles and waste of tax money due to damage.
