AB - This study empirically investigates whether differences exist in the levels of FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) and changes in trading behavior among cryptocurrency investors who have experienced price surge notifications (push alerts), depending on their age, investment tendencies, and investment experience. An online survey was conducted with 102 individuals aged 19 and above who invest in digital assets. One-way ANOVA was used to examine group differences based on the collected data. The analysis revealed no statistically significant differences in FOMO or trading behavior based on investment tendencies or experience. However, a significant difference in FOMO levels was observed across age groups. These findings suggest that system design elements—such as the format, frequency, and intensity of notifications—may have a greater psychological and behavioral impact than individual investor characteristics. This research highlights the psychological influence of push notifications in digital asset trading environments and provides practical implications for the development of more responsible notification system design in the future.
