ABSTRACT

This study aims to analyze the factors influencing residential environment satisfaction and identify differences based on housing types. To achieve this, data from the 2023 Housing Survey were utilized, with a total of 58,669 households included in the analysis. The data were processed using SPSS PC+ Win. Ver. 24, and frequency analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis were conducted. The findings are as follows. First, the correlation analysis revealed a positive relationship between all residential environment factors and residential satisfaction. Second, the multiple regression analysis indicated that all residential environment factors had a positive impact on overall residential satisfaction. Third, an analysis of the relative influence of factors by housing type showed that for single-family housing residents, crime prevention and security conditions had the greatest impact on residential satisfaction. In contrast, for apartment residents, ease of access to commercial facilities was the most influential factor. Based on these findings, recommendations for future research and policy implications were discussed. Future studies should conduct an in-depth analysis of strategies to enhance residential satisfaction tailored to different housing types.
