ABSTRACT

This single-case study examined the effects of an attachment-based therapeutic play intervention in a child with mild Autism Spectrum Disorder(ASD) presenting with aggression and peer interaction difficulties. The participant was an 8-year-old boy who showed frequent aggressive behaviors in school settings. The intervention was provided once a week for 20 sessions. Data were collected through behavioral observations, parent and teacher reports, and pre–post assessments using the Childhood Autism Rating Scale (CARS-2). Results indicated a gradual decrease in aggressive behaviors and improvements in emotional expression and social interaction. These findings suggest that therapeutic play may be an effective intervention for children with mild ASD.
