AB - This study was conducted to clarify the concepts of AI utilization competency and digital literacy required for social workers in the era of digital transformation, and to analyze related educational programs. A scoping review based on Arksey and O'Malley's framework was conducted on 50 selected literatures (28 domestic, 22 international). The analysis revealed that related research has grown explosively, with 94% published within the last three years since the advent of generative AI. Social workers' AI competencies were categorized into three dimensions: 'technical utilization', 'critical evaluation', and 'ethical application'. Notably, while domestic education remained predominantly short-term, international cases introduced practical models such as AI avatar simulations, confirming the need for a systematic Competency-Based Education (CBE) curriculum. Based on these findings, this study proposes mandating AI literacy courses, introducing customized continuing education tracks, implementing skill-based job redesign, and establishing Korean-specific AI ethical guidelines to prevent digital ageism. This study holds academic significance by specifying policy mechanisms for digital transformation in the field.
