AB - This study examines research trends in job stress, burnout, resilience, and job satisfaction among early childhood special education teachers, drawing on 124 articles published in Korean registered academic journals between 2016 and 2025. Publication activity rose sharply after 2020, with 65% of the corpus appearing in the years following the COVID-19 pandemic and the push toward integrating early childhood education and care a period of considerable social and policy upheaval. Across studies, a consistent pattern emerges: job stress drives burnout and erodes job satisfaction, while resilience and social support serve as meaningful buffers against both. The literature is nevertheless narrow in scope. Cross-sectional survey research accounts for 81.5% of studies and metropolitan samples for 68.5%, and teachers in daycare centers whose working conditions are the most precarious appear in only 26.6% of studies, compared with 43.5% for those in kindergarten special classes. Future research would benefit from greater methodological and regional diversity. At the policy level, teacher well-being should not be reduced to a matter of individual fortitude; structural remedies such as reducing administrative burden, leveling working conditions upward across institution types, and establishing systems of psychological supervision are needed alongside individual-level support.
