AB - The Naval Combat Management System (CMS) is an automated system that networks all sensors and armaments on a ship to efficiently respond to threats. Data transfer within the system is performed through the Data Sharing Service (DSS), and errors in this process can severely affect system performance, making accurate validation essential. This study proposes a new verification method to store message transaction data between devices in the system and verify their integrity in actual operation. We utilize Merkle tree, a data structure that uses Hash Functions, to verify data matching, and experimentally measure the verification performance and system impact. The results confirm that the message transaction verification method proposed in this paper for verification efficiency and system stability is applicable to Navel CMS.
