AB - In this paper, We surveys and organizes how AI technology is being applied in the defense sector.
First, it explains the current status of AI policy establishment in the defense sector by major countries such as the United States and the current status of application to weapon systems and support systems.
Then, it explains the AI organization and policy of the Korean military and the application fields. In addition, it explains how AI technology is currently being applied in the defense sector through actual cases of the ongoing Russia-Ukraine War and the Israel-Hamas War. Through these cases, it is possible to confirm what efforts the world's major countries are making to apply AI in the defense sector and understand the disruptive innovation and application direction of AI technology in the defense sector.
