ABSTRACT

This study was conducted to identify the characteristics of self-directed learning and self-leadership of nursing students in e-learning courses, the correlation between variables, and the factors affecting self-leadership. The subjects of the study were 179 third-year e-learning students at a nursing college in W city. The research data were analyzed using the R statistical package version 4.4.2. The results of the study showed that self-directed learning was 4.04±5.00 on a 5-point scale and self-leadership was 4.00±0.47. Self-directed learning and self-leadership were positively correlated, and self-directed learning was a factor affecting self-leadership (β=0.79, p<.001). The results of this study can be used as basic data when applying e-learning courses in nursing.
