ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to verification the effects of Christian university students’ life meaning and spiritual well-being on the life satisfaction, focusing on the mediating effect of positive emotion. For this study, a total of 380 Christian university students were selected for sampling. Data collection in this study was performed by a random sampling method through online question and answer. The collected data was analyzed using the PASW (SPSS Win. 20) statistical package program, and the main statistical techniques were analyzed using descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, regression analysis, and SPSS’Process Macro Model 4. The results of this study are as follows. First, the meaning of life of Christian university students in this study had a direct effect on a satisfactory life (t=13.879, p<001). and it was proved that positive emotions have an indirect effect (t=15.5675, p<.001). Second, the spiritual well-being of Christian university students had a direct effect on a satisfactory life (t=10.4193, p<.001). and it has been proven that positive emotions have an indirect effect (t=10.7777, p<.001). Through the results of this study, it can be said that the hypothesis that the meaning of life and spiritual well-being act as an important factor influencing the life satisfaction of Christian university students, and that positive emotions also have meaning as a mediating variable, has been confirmed.
