AB - The urban redevelopment in Korea society makes progress with combination of local distinctivenesses and the logic of space development which is called Korea’s neo-developmentalism. Citizens’ interests combined with rent seeking lifestyle upon the foundation of these structural levels are also the primary power of leading the Urban Redevelopment. In this way, the structure and the actions of individuals are getting combined through politics of discourse which form the political symbol. The process of diffusion and the formation of redevelopment discourse of former center of Sung-nam are interconnected with particular local historicity and the transitional structure in Korean society. The ostensible reason of redevelopment is to secure the both of economics and publicness at the same time. But by analysing ‘the abolition movement of high limitation’ discussion, there are actually exploitation and exclusion between collusion for development gains and citizens.
