ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of playing instrumental activity to sensory movement and communication development of cerebral palsy. The subject of this study were the children with cerebral palsy, who are attending at a regular pre-kindergarten located in G city, Gyeonggi province. The research design was an one group pretest-posttest. The MEPA-II was used for the pretest. Playing an instrumental activity was applied to the subject for 30minutes a day, 5days a week of 8 weeks. After treatment, the posttest was employed. The major results were as the follows. Playing the instrumental activity positively influenced to enhance sensory motor skill of cerebral palsy such as posture locomotion and manipulation as were as communication. It also highly assistance improve in manipulation domain. Experience with severe instrumental activity allowed limited several with physically, emotionally, and to induce positive changes and development by direct experiencing, feeling, and perception in the process of playing instrumental activity.
