ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study was to compare the consulting process model between Gordon Lippitt & Ronald Lippitt and Oscar Mink. Lippitt & Lippitt suggested 6 phases and 15 steps consulting process and Mink suggested 6 phases and 19 steps consulting process. Lippitt & Lippitt s consulting process is consisted of 6 phases: phase 1 is engaging in initial contact and entry, phase 2 is formulating a contact and establishing a helping relationship, phase 3 is identifying problems through diagnostic analysis, phase 4 is setting goals and planning for action, phase 5 is taking action and cycling feedback, and phase 6 is completing the contract(continuity, support, and termination). Mink s consulting process is consisted of 6 phases: phase 1 is contact and entry, phase 2 is contact formulation, phase 3 is problem identification and diagnostic analysis, phase 4 is goal setting and planning, phase 5 is action taking and feedback cycling, and phase 6 is completion: continuity, support, evaluation, and termination. Oscar Mink s consulting process model was applied to A Korean Global Corporation s consulting process model in 2007.
