This study aims to examine how the bioethics education works out in the universities. Especially focusing on the case of Daegu University, <Bioethics in the age of Human Cloning> had been operated as a selective course in the liberal arts since 2004, which has been changed into the title of <Bioethics and the Movies> in 2006. From 2005, <Bioethics> for Molecular Biology Students was added. When the lectures run this course, they choose and use the movies relating the bioethical issues so that the students can easily understand what is the main point of each themes and develop the community spirit through group activities. Because bioethics can be the last stronghold in the university where the humanities are hanging at the critical moment, it should be a compulsory course, not a selective one. Also for the bright future of bioethics in the universities, it is urgently needed to develop the professionals and encourage the intermediators to product the diverse educational supplements that help bioethics education be ease and interesting.

This paper aims to explore how the public's level of knowledge affects public opinion on scientific issues. Analysis of survey data collected by the KAIST ELSI(Ethical Legal and Social Implications) project team reveals several trends in public opinion. The public's level of knowledge has not been enhanced in spite of the recent increase in media coverage of scientific issues. The surveys also show that the public's level of knowledge does not affect the public’s attitude. They tend to form an attitude with little knowledge and accordingly be influenced by experts’ opinion. It has been also found that the public seems to underestimate the risks and has an overly positive attitude toward biotechnology. Therefore more effort is needed in order to provide the public with accurate information.

This Article analyzes the contents of the Declaration of Helsinki and the Nuremberg Code and the background of their germinations and examines the influences, which undergo until now as norms of research ethics. I would like to compare the Declaration of Helsinki and the Nuremberg Code with catholic aspect of research ethics. The Nuremberg Code as the first worldwide accepted research ethics is meaningful. This Nurember Code, which states clearly the responsibility of the scientists about the protection of human rights, has an effect until now. The Declaration of Helsinki is a statement of ethical principles for medical researches on human beings. The Declaration of Helsinki is not a document, which has a legal binding force, but its principles are in almost all countries applied, and its influencing power on medical ethics is not debatable.
