ABSTRACT

Purpose : This study was to identify of relationship among Biomedical ethics, Job satisfaction and nursing performance in order to examine nurses’ ethical recognition. Methods : The subjects were 196 registered nurses who were working in general hospital over 100 beds in D city. The data were collected from August 15 to 30, 2012 by using the self-reported questionnaires. The Data was analyzed using t-test, ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation coefficient. Results : The average point were the biomedical ethics 3.01, Job satisfaction 2.93 and nursing performance 4.08. As a result of biomedical ethics, job satisfaction and nursing performance due to nursing characteristics of subjects, subject who answered nursing was the best job was 3.16 in biomedical ethics. The biomedical ethics and nursing performance was significantly different, but job satisfaction and nursing performance was not significantly different. The 11 factors of job satisfaction explained 33%, and the influence factor of job satisfaction were Euthanasia, Hospice and nursing performance. Conclusion : Nurses made recognised that nursing was the best job in order to improve of job satisfaction and biomedical ethics. The factor among biomedical ethics and job satisfaction and nursing performance were relationship. Futhermore, it is necessary to take efforts as a whole to increase nurses’ Job satisfaction and nursing performance with biomedical ethics.
