ABSTRACT

This study aims to analyze the impact of information literacy education on learners’ educational satisfaction and loyalty in an open university library, and to examine differences in educational satisfaction based on online and offline learning environments and learner characteristics. A survey was conducted targeting learners who participated in information literacy education at K University Library. Various statistical analyses were performed on the collected data. The results revealed that “accessibility” and “interactivity” in the online environment, as well as “interactivity” in the offline environment, had a significant impact on educational satisfaction. Additionally, educational satisfaction was found to influence loyalty factors such as library reuse and academic persistence. Based on these findings, the study recommends improvement strategies for information literacy education, including strengthening the interactive support system, developing tailored educational plans by age group, and expanding information literacy education through integration with academic courses.
