AB - This study aims to identify the meaning of Deleuze’s body discussion and art concepts in aesthetics discourse about Dance art. The issue about how to perceive the dancing body in art work and then what meanings can be created is the most fundamental topic that should be dealt with in dance esthetics.
First of all, the study looked into G. Deleuze’s body discussion that is developed on the basis of reasons for the body of Nietzsche and Spinozism, and from this it prepared the grounds to deal with the dancing body from perspectives such as ‘sensory power’ and ‘aesthetic construction’. In addition, Arguments for the dancing body that accepts Deleuze’s body discussion and art concepts are illustrated through the practical discussion and interpretation of Pina Bausch and William Forsythe’s choreography characteristic and dance works.
G. Deleuze thought in the discussion on a dance aesthetics has the following meaning. First, Deleuze’s thoughts about body suggests the new way of body perception in dance works and dancing body. Second, Deleuze’s concepts in his art thought is provides grounds to deal with dance works in aesthetics discourse.
