AB - This study has two objectives. Firstly, it examines the aspects of overseas expansion of Korean dance groups focusing on PAMS. Secondly, it discusses how Korean dance groups can advance to overseas market more positively in the future.
The works selected by PAMS for 10 years from 2005 to 2014 were 150 pieces in total. Among these works, dance was the largest field with 49 pieces compared to theater and music. The researcher proposes four things for overseas expansion of Korean dance. ①Fully know the government's support system for overseas expansion. ②Concentrate on researching a network for capturing a target market. ③Get a help from an international exchange expert. ④ Have a scale of performance group suitable for overseas performance and cope sensitively with a change in international trend.
