ABSTRACT

This study was conducted to explore the direction of elementary school dance education by collectingand analyzing various data, and the conclusions are as follows. First, dance in school, which has beentaught within the physical education subject for a long time, should now become an independent subject. Second, until dance is established as an independent subject, the name of the expression unit of physicaleducation subject should be presented as dance. Third, in order to cultivate the professionalism of danceeducation of school teachers, it is necessary to secure professors in charge of dance education in thecollege of education and train dance educators by educating students on dance-related knowledge fromother universities.
