AB - This study examines the impact of VR-based traditional dance performances on audience satisfaction and enjoyment, highlighting the moderating role of individual innovativeness. The results indicate that performance quality, performance characteristics, and emotional characteristics positively influence audience satisfaction and enjoyment. This suggests that VR technology has the potential to serve as a new platform for traditional performances, by fostering emotional connections with the audience.
Performance satisfaction plays a significant mediating role in performance enjoyment, with performance quality and emotional characteristics influencing enjoyment both directly and indirectly. Furthermore, individuals with higher innovativeness are more likely to enjoy VR performances positively, which suggests the need for a strategic approach tailored to the personal characteristics of the audience. This study presents the potential for the fusion of traditional art and advanced technology, providing practical implications for VR-based performance planning and marketing.
