ABSTRACT

This study aims to conduct a systematic literature review to explore the teaching competencies required of university street dance instructors. To achieve this objective, previous studies related to university teaching competencies were collected and analyzed in terms of competency classification, definitions, behavioral indicators, and the presence of measurement items. Core studies that satisfied all these criteria were then selected. Based on the findings, university teaching competencies can be categorized into broad and sub-categories, with teaching competency and basic competency identified as universal detailed categories at the broad level. Furthermore, the study by Lee Young-Rae and Choi Myung-Sook (2022) was identified as a rigorous example that serves as a benchmark for exploring the competencies of university street dance instructors.
