ABSTRACT

This paper would paid attention to Southsong Dynasty Wu wen ying(1200?-1260?)‘s KisaengCi of that period mentioning several topics. we have appreciated 'love, separation and longing' at the base of KisaengCi through three kinds of symbolized Character words, KisaengCi were written by south song dynasty Wu wen ying. he mentioned various loves and separations and longings which were under way of love. CI's purposes were to be song Dynasty especially in parties, the attribute of CI is mild and feminine. Official KisaengCi enjoyed this Kisaeng. Because of this ground, KisaengCi had the feminie feelings. Another reason of CI's spread was the economic developments in south song, Economic development brought the citis' prosperity and many chinese bars. the auther thinks that Zhou Ji(周齊) has been the mostinsightful of the critics of wu wen ying(吳文英) in the past who observes that wu's KisaengCi are characterized by singular thoughts and maingnificent colours" and a structer that soars into the air and dives into a deep pool". regretfully, Zhou Ji's comment appears a bit ambiguous and great efforts are made to pin down linguistic and rhetoric features of wu‘s KisaengCis. the careful and detailed analysis leads to the conclusion that the "singular thoughts refer to the richness of imagination and the colourful diction refer to the intensity of images and the colourful diction, while the structure that soars into the air and dives into a deep pool indicates the drastic and frequent changes in the use of techniques, thus zhoi ji's ambious comment while has puzzled critics so long is convincingly explained and the mistiness around wu’s KisaengCi is dissolved.
