AB - Zhonghuazhengyin is a handwritten version of a Chinese conversation textbook owned by Yeolwunmungo, a library of Yeonsi University. The name of its author is known. The thesis examines the linguistic characteristics of the textbook centering on phonological traits and the vocabulary. What sets this textbook apart from other literature is its realistic recording of everyday colloquial words. The thesis makes a comparative analysis of aspects of use of sound-borrowed characters relative to the other four textbooks as this textbook uses them copiously. An attempt was also undertaken to compare its vocabulary with its contemporary counterparts in terms of parts of speech.
